What is the Navy League?
The Navy League Cadet Corp. (NLCC) is for youth, at least age 11 but not yet 14. The Navy League program introduces young people to military life through hands-on experiences such as knot-tying, swimming, firefighting, first aid, military drill, just to name a few. League Cadets are taught by senior cadets and officers the basic principles of leadership, self-reliance, community service and Naval history. Navy League cadets are also eligible for a one-week “mini-boot camp” which helps prepare cadets for their transition into sea cadets.
