Nicholas Canete joined the Sea Cadets in 2007 at age 14. During his time in, he advanced to the rank of Chief. He graduated in 2010, and moved on to serve in the United States Navy.
"Our" Chief Canete is now Seaman Canete, and is serving on the U.S.S Carl Vinson.
The USS Carl Vinson is the third US Navy Nimitz class supercarier and is named after Carl Vinson, a Congressman from Georgia. Carl Vinson's callsign is "Gold Eagle".
